Schmap

One of my photos at a Dallas Mavericks game was selected for inclusion in the eighth edition of the Schmap Dallas Guide. You can even see this on your iphone through the iphone/itouch Schmap! I thought this was pretty neat and they just told me it was for sure going to be published in the eighth edition (they asked me if they could use it awhile ago), so I just thought I’d share. :) Here is the photo they chose to use, and there are more tagged at my Flickr.

Baseball Fun

We babysat for Kim and Alfie tonight. We took the whole group to Cameron’s baseball game! At first Cameron was not feeling to well but after a little rest, water, and crackers/chips he felt fine and went on to win the game! Caroline, Clarke, Claire, and Taylor all had fun playing on the nearby playground, playing with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and watching cartoons that one of the other mom’s brought. The ice cream man came and parked right by the bleachers – good strategy! We would love to have bought some but we had no money. Oh well it was still fun!

Happy Birthday Jamie

Jamie’s birthday was on the 27th. I was not sure what we were going to do for his birthday, but a friend of ours gave Jamie some great gifts! Clark has season tickets to the Dallas Stars, so he gave us tickets to the game on Jamie’s birthday. The seats were amazing at only three rows from center ice. It was an awesome game and we won!

Baseball

7-26-08 7-26-08

We had a get together for Shelley and Randalls birthday. Afterwards, we went across the street to play a little family baseball. We are not big baseball players, but the kids had alot of fun! I was the only one who brought a camera, so I took a BUNCH of pictures. I didnt want the entire set of pictures to take up my whole page, so I only added a few, the rest can be seen at my flickr.

My Family

Yesterday Jamie, Taylor, and I had a fun and busy day. First, we went to lunch with Jamie’s mom at Cheddars. It was very yummy. After lunch, Jamie, Taylor, and I went to the PGA Tour Superstore to look at golf clubs. Jamie has been playing for a few months now and is doing very well. He started with a handicap of 35 and is already down to an 18. Anyway, we ended up finding a few clubs that he wanted (I couldnt really tell you anything personally about them lol). I told him he could buy them for Father’s day (along with a few others that he wanted/already got) to upgrade his set. We will probably still get him something else, but thats the main/big gift. or atleast an excuse to spend so much on something thats not really needed lol. We werent planning to buy anything when we went, but when we found them on sale for 20% normal price (which was already cheaper than anywhere else) we had to buy them. And we tested them out (ok so I didnt, but he did lol), and Taylor got in on the action. She found the little sand pit they had and took her shoes and socks off and jumped right in. It was pretty funny and cute at the same time. I knew it was definately a photo moment!

After we left the golf store we went to the park. I forgot to take my camera with me, but she had alot of fun. When we were about to leave, Jamie’s friend Clayton called. He was down for spring break and wanted to go see a movie last night. So we made plans to watch Semi Pro with him a 9:15. So we left the park and went to Bed Bath and Beyond, where we looked around a little to waste some time. We have a gift certificate from our wedding left to Bed Bath and Beyond, that we want to use to buy some new towels. We found some that were on sale and debated whether to buy them, but we decided to go ahead and wait. We stayed there a little too long, because we had to rush to get something to eat before the movie.

We went to Freebirds for dinner. It was the first time for each of us to go there. We like burritos and everyone kept telling us how much better Freebirds was compared to other burrito places. It was okay, but we didn’t really like their salsa (if you can even call it that since it was just liquid??). We took our burritos (and quesadilla for Taylor) to go and ate on the way home. When we got home we put Taylor to bed and left for the movie (Jamie’s mom was watching Taylor).

We had a pretty good day. I loved spending so much time doing random stuff with Jamie and Taylor. I love my family. ♥
