We had a Halloween party friday at school. The kids got to dress up in their costumes and trick-or-treat around the halls to the different classrooms. I caught Taylor and some of her friends outside my classroom (she is a kitty cat, if you cant tell lol). :)

Dinner with Friends

Our dear friend Mary is no longer working at the church. We love her so much, so we all got together last night and had a dinner celebration for her. We will miss her like crazy… we already do!! I did not get to stay the whole time, because we also had a parent/teacher meeting to learn more about Taylo’rs school. But I did take a few photos and hopefully I will get copies of the photos other people took.

First day of Pre-k

Yesterday was Taylor’s first day of Pre-k. Jamie got to take an early lunch, so that he could see her off to her first day with me. On the way she asked if I would stay with her in her class, when I said no she asked if Daddy could. I told her no he had to work and she said, “but I need someone from my family to stay with me!” When we were walking up to the school, I asked if she was nervous or scared and she said no but her tummy hurt – butterflies! We walked her to her room, dropped off her stuff at her locker and cubby and she sat down and started playing! I think it went well and she is not usually shy, so I’m sure she will do fine.

First day of Pre-k! First day of Pre-k! First day of Pre-k! First day of Pre-k!

After school I took Taylor to get a Sonic happy hour treat to celebrate her first day of school. She was so excited to tell me about her day! She kept talking and talking and talking… it was really cute! She told me all about the playground and that she really liked the slide and monkey bars. She told me she got to be the lineleader, because they get to put their names in the job pockets – another kid got to hold the ball, another kid got to hold the frog (???), and today she wants to be the house helper lol. She also said her teacher – who she says looks like Miss Kim her Choir teacher from last year – read a book that she really liked. And she likes her teacher – “she sure is a good Pre-k teacher” lol.She met alot of new friends too – she says there were only a little bit of girls and a whole lot of boys in her class. She specifically mentioned a little girl who also had a Tinkerbell backpack with all Tinkerbell’s friends on it, and a little boy that looks like Stephen (a little kid in my Sunday night class). She had snack time and said the kid who looked like Stephen had the same juice box as her! She was excited about that lol! She got to play on the computer and it was a shoe game where she had to put the shoes from Daddy, Mommy, to Baby size lol. When they were waiting to go home they got to watch a video and she REALLY liked that movie lol (just a random video). She was so excited to tell me every little bit of her day. I think she had a great first day!

Then we had to run a quick errand, and not even an hour and a half after picking her up from Pre-k… Taylor passed out in the car!! LOL!

When we got home and out of the car we tried to wake her up, but she kept falling asleep and wouldnt stay awake. Finally I just gave in and put her to bed. Sure enough she woke up at 11pm. I let her stay up and watch tv, fed her a half sandwich (since she didnt eat dinner!), and I made her go back to sleep at 2am. She woke up this morning and is doing fine. :) Maybe she won’t be as tired today… poor girl. She is so used to taking naps, its hard for her to immediately just skip them for Pre-k! I knew this would happen, so for the summer I had not been pushing her to take a nap and she would only take them when she really needed one.

Ready for today – day number two!
