Almost Here
I went to my ob on Thursday. My cervix was a tight 1cm, but yesterday it was almost 2cm. My doctor seemed suprised that I actually made some progress lol. She rubbed the cervix opening and she said that usually helps things proceed. I’ve been kind of crampy and achy since, but who knows whats gonna happen. We also scheduled my induction for August 30th, if by chance she hasnt come by then. Her original due date was september 3rd and since she is so big already theyd like to have her come out before then.
My boyfriends mother suspects in the next day or two, since its a full moon, lol. I’m ready for her to come when ever she decides to. So it looks like in less than 2 weeks, our little girl will be here!

Alot of things have been going on lately. We had an ultrasound about 2 weeks ago that determined that I’m 2 weeks farther along than originally thought by my doctor (I knew I was off, but wasnt sure by how much). They estimated that she weighed almost 7lbs at that point. My new estimated due date is August 23rd, but everyone thinks she wont make it to that date either. I guess we will just have to wait and see when she is ready to come out. 
By my next appointment this Thursday, if she still hasnt come I was told they will want to have another ultrasoud to see how big she is. They will then decided if they want to go ahead and induce me so that I will have a better chance of a natural delivery rather than a c-section. No c-section talk has taken place, so I’m not too worried about that. but my doctor is worried that if she gets TOO big it will be very difficult for me to deliver her naturally.
We had two baby showers on saturday, and we got alot of great things. They were both very nice showers and we are very thankful for everyone who showed up to them. INSERT We have just about everything we need for her, except a few things. We still need to get some crib sheets (although she will be in a bassinet at first so its not a #1 kind of thing), formula (in case breast feeding is difficult or I choose not to continue with it), some kind of bouncer/gymboree/swing for her to play with, a dresser, and I think thats about it. We’d still like some other things as well, but I think those are at the top of our list… and they arent even things we HAVE to have. So that makes me happy.
We are excited for her arrival and cant wait to meet our little sweetheart. ♥
You’re Invited
We are planning my baby shower, but I personally dont have any friends to invite. Anyone want to come? Its going to be July 30th or august 13th. Otherwise it will be family and boyfriends friends only. Oh and boys are invited too.
My boyfriends sister came down this weekend. She is leaving Monday night. Everyone is at church right now, because theyre having his chapel tour home concert. I cant come because they dont want anyone at his church to know I’m pregnant. That makes me feel wonderful. Even his retarded brother, who NEVER goes anywhere, went. :/
You can listen over the radio station 90.9fm. It starts at 6pm and he will be singing his solo. Its to the song “wonderful invention”, if you listen. but I bet you wont.
Stupid Contacts
My boyfriends computer monitor died, so I had to wait until he hooked up another one before I could update. I went to a dietition and she said I dont eat enough. She said if I didnt start eating more, my baby could be born with birth defects. I dont really understand tho, because I always seem to be eating. I dont hold back on anything either. I guess maybe its because I dont eat regular full meals. Instead I’ll eat like a salad, bowl of cereal, or a sandwich when I’m hungry. *shrug* I’m trying to do better.
Friday, I had my 28 week check up, which included my rhogam shot. I was scared that it was going to hurt really bad. Luckily tho, I barely felt it. When she was giving it to me (with my head turned away) I wasnt sure if she was doing it or not. I felt a tiny sting, but I wasnt sure if that was it or if she was just wiping the area with stringent. She let go of my arm and I was like, “did you do it yet?” lol. It could just be that its been a really long time since I’ve gotten a regular shot, or the fact that I get my blood taken all the time now, and/or that the nurse used to be a pediatric nurse and had to give shots all the time. Well, the baby is good and healthy.
One of my last contacts ripped on me yesterday morning. My boyfriend and I went to the walmart vision center (where I buy my contacts) and they wouldnt let me buy any because my prescription expired at the end of may. but because I’m pregnant, my vision is a little off. I barely notice, but my OB told me not to get them checked until after she is born bc pregnancy makes vision a little worse. and the optometrist was closed on Sundays. So yesterday and today I’ve had to go without being able to see. Luckily I can see up close, but thats all. I’m like 3-4ft away from the tv and It’s a little blurry still. This is horrible. I cant see to drive, so after my boyfriend gets off work (which hopefully the optometrist isnt closed by then), I’m going to my optometrist and hope they give me a temp prescription until after the baby is born. ugh.
Okay, well I’m off to eat something. lol.
