Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
Taylor’s first grade class had a field trip to a local Pumpkin Patch today. I was lucky enough to be able to take off work for a few hours to join them. I agreed to chaperone a group of kids and ended up with a great group of four girls. Taylor, Chloe, Karen, and Kayla.
They were so excited to be at the Big Orange Pumpkin Pumpkin Farm. They got to pet and feed a bunch of animales; goats, cows, sheep, and a longhorn. Then we headed off to a hay ride with the class, lunch at the picnic tables, and then picking out their very own pumpkin! They had so much fun!
Oh, and while we were there the school I used to teach at showed up! How neat is that!
Thanksgiving Feast
Taylor had a Thanksgiving feast at her school yesterday. She got to dress up as an Indian! She was so excited all week to get to dress up as one. I was able to go to her school and spend the feast with her. She loooved it. and she’s thankful for her mom and dad. ♥
Trick-or-Treat
This was Taylor’s first year to actually go trick-or-treating. We normally go to a fall festival or visit with family for Halloween. Taylor loved trick-or-treating and went right up to the doors by herslef, while we waited at the end of the walkway. One house was even “scaring” people and she was completely fine. Great night and perfect weather!
Oh, and she was originally going to be Jesse, from Toy Story, but since she wore it to a couple things already (her birthday, a neighborhood festival, etc) we decided to buy a pair of $1 wings at the dollar tree and turn her into some type of fairy. I dont know, it worked. Hope you had a good one!
Horses
My cousin Rena got married in Michigan. They are now back home in Texas and had a wedding reception for them here for those of us who couldn’t make it to the wedding. She lives on a ranch and owns a Horse Rescue. She always lets Taylor ride one of the horses and some tractors when we visit. Taylor loves it.
Neighborhood
Our neighborhood had a little festival with venders, dancing, face painting and bounce houses. Taylor had so much fun and I found out one of my old students lives in my neighborhood! How cool!
