Shelley’s House

So after driving several more hours today, we finally made it to Shelley’s house yesterday. We got here around 5:30-6ish. We ordered pizza from a really good pizza place and ate dinner. It was very good! Afterwards we decided to go swimming for a little bit before bedtime. The kids had a great time playing together! I gave them a bath afterwards and Taylor used a froggy hooded towel. She was so cute. ;)

Today we did not do a whole lot. After taking the boys to school, Shelley had a hair appointment this morning. We went with her and went to the mall while she was having it cut/colored. It was a regular mall except they have alot of surf stores that we dont have in Texas (of course, what would we need them for?! lol). One of them had a real pool/wave for surf lessons. It looked really neat to watch others and Jamie wants to do it sometime. After her appointment was over we ate lunch and headed to the grocery store for things for dinner. When we got home Taylor took a nap and Shelley picked the boys up from school. Afterwards we let them have popsicles in the backyard. They really enjoyed those!! Then Shelley cooked lasagna rolls and her friend Darren came over. After dinner and we put the kids to bed, Jamie and I went to pick up his sunglasses (he left them at the place we had lunch) and our Disney tickets. I think we are going tomorrow. So Excited!

Florida, Here we come!

We left today for a trip to Florida. We are going to visit Aunt Shelley, Thomas and Meyer. We are also going to go to Disney World, the beach, and hopefully my Aunt Donna, Uncle Bill, and Cousin Amy. I havent seen them since Taylor was in a carrier. Anyway, we are excited to get there and have a great time with family! We stopped at the Tanger Outlets in Terrell to buy me some new sunglasses, I had lost my wonderful Ralph ones. I’m still sad about it lol. But I did find some nice Armani Exchange ones that I like. They were not open when we first got there, so we went to eat a late breakfast/early lunch at Waffle House. It was yummy! On the drive around Shreveport, we got tired of listening to music so we stopped at a Cracker Barrel to rent an audiobook. We didnt really know what to get and I was worried most of them would be too girly of a book, so we ended up getting the Da Vinci Code. It was boring at first, but when it started getting going it was much better! It really helped the time go by fast. We stopped in Jackson, MS for dinner and let Taylor play at a McDonald’s play place for awhile to let her get some of her energy out. She has been doing such a great job on the whole trip! Anyways, we drove all day today and finally stopped in Pensacola, FL for the night. Alright, well I should get some sleep. Night!

Oh my, paint

You would never believe the scene I walked in on today. My daughter was covered in face paint that she found - who knows where! She had it smeared all over the island, all over her clothes, everywhere!! All in a matter of minutes! So being the good mother that I am, I ran and got my camera!

Circus & Waterpark

I went ahead and bought tickets for the Barnum and Bailey Circus. Taylor had never been to one before. She had alot of fun, but had a little trouble staying in her seat lol. Afterwards, I took the boys and Taylor to the waterpark with Jamie & Randall. We had so much fun!

Baseball

We had a get together for Shelley and Randalls birthday. Afterwards, we went across the street to play a little family baseball. We are not big baseball players, but the kids had alot of fun! I was the only one who brought a camera, so I took a bunch of pictures. I didnt want the entire set of pictures to take up my whole page, so I made it a slideshow instead.

Gavin DeGraw

We went to the Gavin DeGraw concert tonight. First we met up with Kristin’s friend Edward and Emily for dinner and drinks. They were really nice and fun to be with. Then we went to a bar near the concert for more drinks. Jamie and I did not drink, but we still had a good time. The concert was amazing and I think we all had a GREAT time. He puts on a great show! I got a few good pictures of it all… and a few funny ones of Jamie lol.

Family Dinner

All of my husbands family just came down for a few weeks; his sister Shelley and her two boys, Thomas and Meyer, his brother Randall and his wife Kristin. We havent seen Randall and Kristin for over a year since they have been living in Switzerland for the last two years. Shelley and her boys live in Florida, so we hardly get to see them. So its a nice change to be able to see them everyday! We sure do miss them all alot. They are staying with us for three weeks, so I’m sure I will have alot of pictures through it all. :)

Vacation Bible School

Allergic Reaction

Taylor had an allergic reaction to something and has hives/bumps (almost looks like warts or pimples) between her fingers. She has broken out with hives before, but I’m specifically concerned about whats happening right now between her fingers. It looks awful and painful. We think she is allergic to dogs and yesterday she touched one with her fngers. We have an appointment July 21 for an allergist, so hopefully they will be able to help us know what is causing this. I actually just had her wash her hands and gave her benadryl.

My mom was scaring me, telling me it might be chicken pox or scabies or who knows what, so I went ahead and took her to the pediatrician just to be safe. She seems to think its eczema caused by some type of allergic reaction. ??? She gave us some steroid cream to put on it to help the bumps go away. My poor baby. This breaks my heart!

Park fun

I have been looking around for houses that are for rent. Today I was pretty bored at home, so I just went driving around with Taylor in our target area. Taylor was being so good playing in her carseat and being patient for sitting for awhile, so when I saw a park (just a random park lol) I thought I would stop and let her play for awhile. It was a pretty nice park and we had alot of fun.
