Tullia
Jamie enrolled for college!!!!!!!! Afterwards we picked up Tullia again today and we hung out with her family. We went to Pottery Barn Kids (Best store ever!!) and then went to eat hotdogs. It is really nice to have the chance to get to know them better.
Carseats
Yesterday around 5pm the phone rang and I thought it was going to be Jamie telling me he is on his way home. Instead it was a lady inquiring about an ad I had written awhile back offering childcare/nanny services. She needed someone to picking up and drop off her stepdaughter from the Mother’s house and take her to their house. It sounds pretty easy and I’m excited to meet the little girl. She is two years old. She sounded very thrilled to talk with me and happy that I could come over today to start.
Today I took Jamie to work so I would be able to pick him up exactly at 5pm and head over to their house. We picked up their carseat and headed over to the little girl’s mom’s house. She was the cutest little girl. It made me so excited to see Taylor when she is a little older. We ended up having dinner with the little girls dad and stepmom; Clark and Sabrina. They seemed like very nice people and just generally concerned for the wellbeing and happiness of their little girl, Tullia (pronounced tuh-lee-uh). Taylor and Tullia seemed to really like each other too. It was sweet.
I really like her carseat and would love to get one just like it for Taylor. I will have to ask them where they got it. We will have to buy one for Taylor very soon, because she is currently 19.5lbs. We need a bigger car too. We had to move Taylor over on the passanger side which made the seat get pushed up close to the front. I barely fit without hitting my knees on the dash. Tullia’s seat fit just fine behind the driver seat but I cant imagine what its going to be like turned around facing backwards, which is how Taylor’s seat will have to be until she is a year old. and thats still 3 months away. Atleast it wont be that far away. Nevertheless, we do really need to get a four door.
Stand Up
Taylor has been pulling up to a standing position lately. and I’ve actually taken some photos of her doing so, enjoy. Here are some pictures of Taylor pulling up to a standing in her crib. Lately she has been trying to pull up on everything and has even learned (well sort of still new at this) how to sit down after standing up. Its the most precious thing to watch. ♥ ♥ I LOVE being a mom! Who’s with me?!
New Toys
The last couple of days I’ve been doing alot more than usual. Thats why I havent really gotten the chance to update or anything. Monday night we ate pot roast/soup. Jamie gave Taylor a little taste of the juice and she went nuts lol. Jamie would hold up the spoon and Taylor would perk up and crawl across the livingroom to get to it, which is pretty cute considering she is just now learning to crawl (I believe the day before was the first time she actually moved in the direction she really wanted to go to instead of just backwards lol). Its so precious to watch, because she still hasnt gotten in exactly right… so she kind of hops to whatever it is that she wants.
Yesterday and today was a series of errands that we ran. We went to Sams and finally got my thyroid medicine (I have gone without it for about a week or two!) and it was really cheap there ($14 without insurance, when it was about $20-25 WITH insurance somewhere else)! It really made me happy. We also went to Target and Walmart to pick up some random things. I dont think going was the fun part, more that I just got to leave the house lol.
We did manage to get Taylor 3 new outfits, stack of rings, a shape sorter, and a vibrating elephant ball (the link went to the puppy version but we have the elephant).
Its fun getting new toys!
