Summer School

June 7, 2007

It took awhile to get everything set up for summer school, but it has officially begun. Both Jamie and I are taking summer classes this summer. I was also able to get in contact with my advisor and got my degree plan updated. It looks like I should be able to graduate May 2009. I was happy to hear that my plans or what I was thinking about can actually happen. Although I have attended college previously, my husband Jamie has not. These are his first classes to ever take in college and he seems to be doing great, and I am so proud of him for being motivated to do this! If all goes well and as I have layed out for him, I think he should be able to graduate in only 3 years. I’m pretty happy about things at the moment.

I hope to get a new camera soon, too. As you can see by the lack of photo posts recently, mine has broken. It lasted about 4 years and was a wonderful camera. lol. My sister let me borrow hers, but it drains batteries like nothing I’ve ever seen. I’m still looking into what type of camera we should get, so if you have any recommendations…

Showers

June 2, 2007

Today was a busy day filled with two showers that we had to go to.

This morning from ten to about twelve was a bridal shower for Jamie’s cousin, Michael, and his fiance, Lindsay. They are getting married July 21st. Jamie had to work today so his mom, Taylor, and I were just going but Jamie forgot to leave the carseat at home for us to put in his mom’s car (at the moment we only have one car between me and him, so we have to share it and borrow his moms sometimes). Jamie and I bought them a present so I just ended up leaving Taylor with his mom and I went to drop of the presents -and I stayed a bit too- and then go to Jamie’s work to get the carseat. Jamie took his lunch break with me and we went out to lunch. It was yummy mexican food. Mmm.

Anyway, we then we had a baby shower to go to at three o’clock. By the time I got home from getting the carseat and eating lunch it was already two, so we got our stuff ready and left. The shower was for my mother-in-law’s friend Mariyln’s son and his wife. They are expecting a baby boy sometime in July. They had the baby shower at an antique mall that had a tea room. It was a cute place with very good tea. Taylor did not get her nap today, so she was a little cranky at first in the tea room… but she settled down after awhile. As soon as we left, she passed out in her carseat. Poor Baby.

We just got back home and I am a little tired from it all. Just thought I’d leave a quick message before Jamie gets home which should be any minute -and there he is- lol. so bye.
