Carseats
Yesterday around 5pm the phone rang and I thought it was going to be Jamie telling me he is on his way home. Instead it was a lady inquiring about an ad I had written awhile back offering childcare/nanny services. She needed someone to picking up and drop off her stepdaughter from the Mother’s house and take her to their house. It sounds pretty easy and I’m excited to meet the little girl. She is two years old. She sounded very thrilled to talk with me and happy that I could come over today to start.
Today I took Jamie to work so I would be able to pick him up exactly at 5pm and head over to their house. We picked up their carseat and headed over to the little girl’s mom’s house. She was the cutest little girl. It made me so excited to see Taylor when she is a little older. We ended up having dinner with the little girls dad and stepmom; Clark and Sabrina. They seemed like very nice people and just generally concerned for the wellbeing and happiness of their little girl, Tullia (pronounced tuh-lee-uh). Taylor and Tullia seemed to really like each other too. It was sweet.
I really like her carseat and would love to get one just like it for Taylor. I will have to ask them where they got it. We will have to buy one for Taylor very soon, because she is currently 19.5lbs. We need a bigger car too. We had to move Taylor over on the passanger side which made the seat get pushed up close to the front. I barely fit without hitting my knees on the dash. Tullia’s seat fit just fine behind the driver seat but I cant imagine what its going to be like turned around facing backwards, which is how Taylor’s seat will have to be until she is a year old. and thats still 3 months away. Atleast it wont be that far away. Nevertheless, we do really need to get a four door.
